Rob Halpert has been engaged in the general practice of law in Montpelier since 1983. In 1986 Mr. Halpert became principal of the firm of Kurrle and Halpert, and operated that firm until 1992 when he became counsel to Main Street Law, LLP.

Mr. Halpert's practice emphasizes alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. He also practices in the areas of municipal law, civil litigation, mental health law, personal injury, land use, and commercial law.

Mr. Halpert is past president of the Washington County Bar Association and he has served on the Board of Governors of the Vermont Association for Justice since 1993. In 1997, he was appointed to the Legal Advisory Committee of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns.

Mr. Halpert also serves as an approved member of the mediation panels established by the Vermont Superior Court, Environmental Division and the Vermont Department of Labor, and provides mediation services for Vermont’s foreclosure mediation program.
